         “I am honored to serve as your Fire Chief. My career with the NFD began 28 years ago when I was hired and served as a Firefighter/Paramedic. Over the years I have held the rank of Firefighter/Paramedic, Relief Engineer, Captain, Battalion Chief, Division Chief, and Acting Fire Chief. I have enjoyed every day of service to our members and to our communities. I look forward to leading this wonderful organization in service for you.”

In August 2009, the Novato Fire District became the first internationally accredited fire agency in Marin County and the only the fifth accredited fire agency in California. The Fire District earned this honor from the Commission on Fire Accreditation International and the Center for Public Safety Excellence.
